Unfortunately I will be moving from my current location next summer. I have 3 diamondback terrapins and 4 red eared sliders which all range from about 7 months old to 3 months old. I will be moving my entire set up as well as my turtles. I was wondering if any of you had advice for me about transfering the lil guys on how to go about it without injuring them, getting them sick or even killing them. Im still a beginner as far as raising them much less moving the entire set up as well as the turtles. Any advice will help thanks, santos

I take my baby diamondback away with me every weekend. What i do is get a separate container and cushion the bottom with paper towels I have holes all over the container I have a lid and no water in it . I have a carry small plastic tank I put the container in and he is safe until i get to my destination. Then the plastic tank is set up when I get to where I need to go and the turtle is fine

How far are you moving? Across town, out-of-state? Driving? Putting them in dry or moist (if it’s warm) papertowels in plastic containers and avoiding extremes of heat and cold are the basics. Trying to transport aquatics in water sometimes results in accidental drownings. Give us some more specifics on your situation if you would like more help. Toddsan30tos
