A two year old male macrospilota dbt that I obtained three months ago has whistled since I got him. 🙂 He never developed the upper respiratory symptoms (ie., his nose never bubbled, he never got weak, he never lost his ravenous apetite). I had the Vet look at him. The Vet’s diagnosis was that my dbt has an anatomically small left nostril. I looked at his nostrils in the magnifying glass and sure enough, one nostrel is a lot smaller in diameter than the other nostril. – oO –

Thanks for sharing that Bob! I wonder if that’s also Dixie’s problem? Got a magnifying glass, Vincent? -Chun

One of my Chinese box turtles has a smaller nostril on one side and I have heard a whistle now and then. Vic

Vic, Thanks…..guess it’s not so unusual then to have a smaller nostril on one side. Bob
