will alittle rust hurt??

HI Everyone– I was just wondering if anyone may have any comments on this— I just FINALLY purchased a used 90 Gallon tank ( for 100 Bucks !! whatta deal! ) and I made a basking area for my guys – and I used this little metal rack thing for the foundation of the basking area. I noticed that the corners of the shelf are slightly rusting ( just a bit) – I have had fish aquariums before that have had some rust goin on and have not had any issues but.. I dont really think this will hurt. I have been told by someone that it will just add iron to the water ?? – — I know this topic is now dead but I must say to Thomas – Please although you are understandably frusrtaed, realize that it is not the turtles fault (nor anyone elese’) that they are sick. At this point instead of foccusing on where they came from, I would try and take any advise this group has to offer. No one here is against you and your struggle with these little guys. I have a ferret Rescue (I have 9 ferrets currently) and many times recieve sick ones, and you know even with ALL the care they are given some just dont make it… My point is – Do what you can do. Everything and anything that you can do to save them. If you do this – whatever may happen in the end, YOU know that you did what you could and thats all that one can do. I do sincerlly hope all goes well for you with everything you deal with. Please dont let your anger and frustration overpower your focus on the care and attention your little turtles need from you. Do what you can do remembering that life itself may not always be as we think it is supposed to be. I hope not to upset you, but to mabey give you a different view of this situation.
